Objects sold
Live Antique sells antique, second-hand and collectible objects. Each object is unique and presented with photographs, a description, apparent condition and the information available when it is listed.
Age marks, restorations, wear, patina, small defects or variations linked to age are part of the nature of antique objects when described or visible in the photographs.
Prices, currencies and payment
Reference prices are shown in euros. Currency conversions are provided for readability and may be rounded.
Payment may be offered through Revolut or PayPal depending on the options displayed at checkout. An order is processed only after payment has been effectively confirmed.
With Revolut, the order remains pending verification until manual payment validation. With PayPal, shipping insurance is included in the total calculation.
Order and reservation
After checkout validation, the object may be reserved for the duration shown in the checkout flow. If payment is not confirmed within this period, Live Antique may put the object back on sale.
Live Antique may refuse or cancel an order in case of an obvious pricing error, unavailability, suspected fraud or reasonable impossibility to ship to the address provided.
Shipping, disbursement mandate and insurance
The buyer appoints Live Antique to organise transport in the buyer’s name and on the buyer’s behalf. Transport and, where applicable, insurance costs are advanced by Live Antique and reimbursed at cost, without margin, against supporting documents.
If the buyer chooses shipping without optional insurance, losses, damage or compensation not covered by the carrier do not give rise to additional compensation by Live Antique, subject to mandatory legal guarantees and liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.
The buyer must promptly report any delivery issue and keep packaging, photographs and useful evidence so a claim can be made with the carrier or insurer.
Customs, duties and import
For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes, handling fees or local formalities may be requested from the recipient. These amounts remain payable by the buyer.
Live Antique may provide a customer invoice and, when necessary, a pro forma invoice or customs document based on the order information.
Right of withdrawal
For consumer buyers, the legal withdrawal period is 14 days from receipt of the object, unless a legal exception applies.
The withdrawal request must be sent to charles@live-antique.com before the period expires. The object must be returned complete, protected, in the same condition as received and with packaging suitable for its fragility.
Return costs in case of withdrawal are borne by the buyer. Refund is made within the legal deadlines, after receipt of the returned item or sufficient proof of shipment.
- Template request: "I hereby notify my withdrawal for order [reference], received on [date], under the name [name], address [address]."
Legal guarantees
Legal guarantees applicable to consumers, including the legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects, remain applicable under the conditions provided by law.
These guarantees do not cover defects expressly described, visible in photographs or normally linked to the age of the object when brought to the buyer’s attention.
Mediation and disputes
In case of difficulty, the buyer is invited to contact Live Antique at charles@live-antique.com in order to seek an amicable solution.
The consumer mediator details will be added after appointment.
Failing amicable resolution, jurisdiction and applicable law are governed by French law and mandatory consumer protection rules.
